Toadies and their daughters

Some prominent male supporters of increasing gender diversity in the boardroom (‘GDITB’) are motivated (at least in part) by having daughters. They include Sir Roger Carr, chairman of Centrica, an early winner of a Toady:

It turns out this particular Toady has a daughter, Caroline, who went to work for Goldman Sachs as a lawyer. You might like to read the following article from a 2009 edition of Management Today, ‘How corporate fathers can learn from their daughters’:

Caroline Carr is on the steering committee of the 30 percent club – her daddy was a founding member of the club, isn’t that nice? – and she’s now Goldman Sachs’s Head of Global Leadership and Diversity. It’s comforting to know that while so many FTSE100 chairmen are risking the long-term prospects of their companies by driving GDITB initiatives, their daughters at least are benefitting from this feminist-inspired insanity.
